About DI
DI@WPI is an emerging organization at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. We are comprised of students who were involved in the Destination Imagination worldwide competition, which focuses on encouraging creativity and critical thinking in the minds of K-12 students. Destination Imagination (DI) hosts its Massachusetts Affiliate Tournament at WPI every year in late March.
This Alumni Network will be involved in a number of activities, from helping to facilitate the affiliate tournament to getting involved with local teams and regional tournaments. We’ll serve as a subset of the Massachusetts DI Alumni Network (MADI Alums).
The spirit of WPI and DI are both closely linked. Both are built on the philosophy of doing and the balance of learning and practice. All DI Alumni know that the more creative a solution, the more likely for success it will be. The innovative spirit of WPI meshes nicely with this ideology, for a school that prides itself in the creative talent it draws in.
